Hannah Coulter by Wendell Berry. A quiet, luminous novel about a farming community, memory, and grace.
Stories that move you
Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers. A retelling of Hosea set in the Gold Rush. The Christian novel your group has probably heard about — for good reason.
Christy by Catherine Marshall. A young teacher in 1912 Appalachia. Wholesome, sweeping, and deeply felt.
Safely Home by Randy Alcorn. A gripping story of the persecuted church in China. Convicting and hard to put down.
A modern classic
The Book of the Dun Cow by Walter Wangerin Jr.. An allegorical fable of good and evil that reads like nothing else. Great for a group that likes to dig.
